Scratching with his left then right hand, if the enemy is at a high enough damage percentage, they have good odds of being KOed. He has fairly good edge guard, which is good, because he must rely on the edge to score most KO’s. His throw is strong but his wave dash is slow, useless even. He also possess some very strong aerial attacks, but unless L-canceled, they are slow and laggy.

The good thing is that he does have a shield to protect himself. So though it is harder to KO him, he’s very easy to hit. Bowser is both the heaviest and largest character in Melee. Though he does have a projectile, it does nothing against opponent’s projectiles, especially lasers. Because he is sluggish and awkward, his powerful attacks don’t help him too much. Watch out for that fire-breath or you’re gonna get burned!ĭue to his large sides and slow movement, Bowser only ranks 24th of Melee’s tier. Once focusing his attention to taking over the Mushroom Kingdom, Bowser takes a break and finally makes his debut to Smash and is wrecking havoc.
